Like you, we love our dog and treat them more like family.
The main images on the website is of 'Star', she's a 4 year old Cavapoo.
We don't want to even imagine losing her, the whole family would be devastated, the house would be so quiet and where else would all of us get that unconditional love she gives?
There are times when we have no choice but to leave our dog unattended, even for just a couple of minutes and those times can be stressful for us, especially as our dog is so friendly to everyone (expecting treats).
We talked to lots of dog owners who felt like us, giving us examples like ;
- daily morning walking routine of buying a newspaper and leaving their dog outside,
- primary school parent's having to tether their dog at the school gates, due to 'no dogs allowed in schools.
- popping to the loo in a dog friendly pub, restaurant or cafe and leaving their dog tied under the table.
- on holiday with their dog they need to pop into a shop for a few minutes.
- and many other examples you can imagine.
We looked everywhere for a product to help prevent a dog from being stolen, something that's handy, easy-to-carry and use, most importantly it needed to be 100% safe and comfortable for any dog.
There were a few products, but nothing that ticked all the boxes, so we created the DOGTIE Dog Lock.
